
The Swedish fashion industry plays a central role in Sweden’s economy, both as a creative force and as an export-driven billion-kronor industry. According to the newly released report Swedish Fashion 2025, the industry’s turnover amounted to 178 billion kronor in 2023, while it generated 22 billion kronor in tax revenues, which corresponds to one out of every hundred tax kronor in Sweden.
The Swedish Fashion report is a recurring report series that tracks developments within one of Sweden’s most significant and change-driven industries. The report is produced jointly by Trade Partners Sweden, Stockholm Fashion District, Svensk Handel, and Swedish Fashion Council.
