Motivation:
Swedish Agent of the Year, Magnus Ericsson, understood early that to be successful it was essential to work tight together with the principal, not only in sales, but also in developing new products and policies. This viewpoint to value the cooperation with the agent was shared with the principal and after years of working successfully together, Magnus Ericson was offered the position as CEO and main shareholder of the company earlier owned by the principal alone. The company Kavat have transferred from being a traditional producer of children’s shoes into being market leading in sustainable shoe production, starting in 2008 when they succeeded in achieving the EU ECO LABEL for one of their shoe models. Today, more than 50 models are certified under the official ECO label and the company has received several rewards for their efforts. New factories in Bosnia have been established and sales have developed dramatically not only in Sweden but also in several other European markets. Today, our agent is acting as CEO in a very successful and up to date company. The turnover in 2018 was 14 000 000 Euro with a profit margin of 9%. Legally, our winner is no longer an agent, but at heart he is still the agent he started out as. Magnus Ericsson has proved the importance of developing the role of the agent in a very changeable market and to use your own capacity and take on the new possibilities to develop the profession.
