Trade Partners Sweden participated in ICC Sweden’s high-level seminar on the future of trade

On March 28, the trade world's top names gathered when ICC Sweden organized a high-level seminar under the theme "Trade Under Siege: Who Steps Up When Global Collaboration Falls Apart?". Trade Partners Sweden was present to represent our members' interests in these important trade policy discussions.

The seminar, which gathered 300 participants including H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf, offered highly relevant insights from WTO Director-General Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. A subsequent conversation featured ICC’s global chairman Philippe Varin and Sweden’s Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa, moderated by H&M’s Global Public Affairs Lead Trade, Nesli Al Mufti.

For our members, it was particularly relevant to take part in the discussions about the importance of free trade and maintaining a rules-based trading system. The panel emphasized the need for more free trade agreements and proactive action to secure strong international trade – issues that are central to Sweden’s agents and distributors.

To support companies affected by turbulent trade politics, ICC has launched a new resource page. Here you’ll find statements, policy papers, and other materials to help companies navigate developments where tariffs are being used increasingly aggressively and unpredictably.
