Between the 3-8th of February,2020, Fashion Week Trade takes place at Stockholm Fashion District (SFD). Now the program is presented and at the same time the visitor registration opens for the new season.
Under the theme Artificial Intelligence (AI), digitalisation and to level up, SFD wants to inspire exhibiting brands and visiting retail and e-tail to explore the digital world in depth through an exciting program of exhibitions, workshops, talks and speed dating. At Stockholm Fashion District, buyers, stores, rising fashion stars, established brands, media and other stakeholders meet to plan next season, network and collaborate. The district is a cluster and a business platform for the Swedish fashion industry.
“We see that the fashion industry is a fast-paced and curious industry that enjoy testing new business models and new technology. As a cluster and trading platform, we have the opportunity to give fuel to the development that will only go faster as fashion entrepreneurs gain more knowledge and take the time to explore new land. The collaboration with Hyper Island is fully in line with the knowledge boost we want to infuse in the fashion industry,” says Helena Waker, CEO of Stockholm Fashion District.
“Technological advances are changing our way of living and working. Business models are developed and customer requirements are intensified. We are delighted that Stockholm Fashion District has chosen Hyper Island as a partner to help companies with the challenges that follow in the digitalisation path,” says Mikael Ahlström, partner, Hyper Island.
In collaboration with Hyper Island, Stockholm Fashion District will guide their visitors in the digital world and explain the definition of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how the fashion industry with the help of AI can expand, develop and create new opportunities. The theme of AI, digitalisation and to level up is manifested through the image of the season, which springs from the collaboration interpreted by Johanna Molin, Digital Media Creative student at Hyper Island:
”I used the phone in this image just not as a phone, but also as a mirror. We tend to look for new inspiration through social media and apply them to ourselves. It’s not only you, it’s not only me, most of us do, and the real question might be who isn’t?”
