Member of the month: Gossip

Gossip is a Swedish clothing brand since 1996, run and designed by Kurt Klingberg and Jeanette Stenberg. Gossip has had loyal customers since the beginning and is run with great enthusiasm and available in stores throughout the Nordic region. We asked Kurt and Jeanette how they have managed to maintain their positive attitude during the past year and what the next step is for Gossip!

You and Gossip have a wonderful and positive energy, how do you do to maintain such a positive attitude?
“Oh what a wonderful question, where should I start… Start the day with, “what a wonderful day”, good breakfast and training. All the problems that come to me today are because I am so good at solving them for everyone’s best. I’m lucky that people around me make mistakes so I do not have to be perfect. We work in the world’s most wonderful industry with exciting and positive people with whom we share energy in a creative context. There are no problems, just opportunities.”

In which stores can you find Gossip?
“We only work with smaller independent multi-brand stores with personal service. Those who, through their presence, not only provide their customers with nice clothes but also have an important social function where they act. It is these stores that the consumer supports in these times after understanding  the importance of keeping them. You can find all our retailers at HittaPlagget.”

What will be the next step for you and Gossip?
“We are continuing our sustainable journey and are now looking at alternatives to dyeing in a natural way with Natural earth pigments instead of with synthetic chemicals. We are investigating the possibilities of labeling our organic cotton, where it was grown, who harvested it, etc. Difficult but we want to do it… We’re working to get our wonderful retailers and their customers on this sustainable journey that I believe is incredibly important to all of us. ”
