Today, a fully booked Fashion Week Trade starts at Stockholm Fashion District with focus on meetings, business and the future of the fashion industry. The digital layer, with as many as 600 showrooms online, has had a strong development. Focus is now on physical meetings in showrooms and in the exhibition hall full of guest brands as many of us have missed seeing the collections in this tactile and creative industry.

“We are proud of how the companies in our industry have re-focuses over the past year and that we have managed to find alternatives and solutions to support them and the trade in general. Now we are excited, but still humble as the pandemic is still going on, and have adapted the season to business meetings with distance and more activities outdoors.”, says Helena Waker, CEO, Stockholm Fashion District.
The interest in participating at Stockholm Fashion District has been great this season and many need more days to be able to spread out their meetings and take extra care of each customer. Stockholm Showroom and Stockholm Shoe House with 160 showrooms and the exhibition hall with guest exhibitors are thus fully booked during the week.
New in the digital showrooms is the possibility to add film, such as collection presentations, which has been added this season. As before, all participating brands can indicate which of the 17 global sustainability goals they work with, receive meeting bookings and present themselves in a positive context together online.
The program of the week aims to inspire and provide business opportunities. Many of us have looked forward towards discussing business and making new contacts more informally. Among other things, SFD Padel Open is organized for the first time, where the fashion industry in teams of two and two, compete for the first place cheered on by the audience consisting of colleagues in the industry.
